How To Use This Calculator

Complete a hard, well-paced 20-minute bike test and enter your average watts. The calculator estimates FTP by taking 95% of that 20-minute power, then builds practical training workloads from that estimate.

If you average 250 watts for 20 minutes, your estimated FTP is 238 watts. From there, the calculator provides training ranges for recovery, endurance, tempo, threshold, VO2 max, anaerobic work, and sprint efforts.

These zones are useful starting points, not laboratory thresholds. Heat, fatigue, sleep, nutrition, cadence, bike setup, and testing discipline all influence the result. The goal is not to worship the number. The goal is to make your conditioning work more precise and repeatable.
