How This Calculator Works
This calculator is designed for day-to-day autoregulation, not just max testing. If your program calls for a top set of 3, complete the set with strong technique, then honestly estimate how many additional quality reps you could have performed before form broke down.
For example, if you complete 225 pounds for 3 reps and believe you had 2 more good reps available, the calculator treats that as 225 × 5 for estimation purposes. That number is then used to estimate your daily 1RM and percentage-based training loads.
1RM = weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30)
The goal is not to chase all-time PRs every session. The goal is to understand what your performance is telling you today. Strong athletes adjust. Intelligent athletes track trends. Great programs account for both.
